PURPOSE:To guarantee the coincidence performance of a storage device without provision of an exclusive interface between storage controllers by providing the 1st means for dividing a fault information registration register into two and having them in itself and the 2nd means adding a flag to each of them. CONSTITUTION:When the newest information of a fault data section 310 is obserbed and its flag MCU-ID is logical 0, an address section 311 of the own system is checked, and the content with the flag LP flag at logical 0, that is, the newest information of the own system is used as an address to a faulty data. When the flag MCU-ID of the fault data section 310 is logical 1, the address section 311 of other system is checked, and the content with the flag LP flag is logical 1, that is, the newest information of other system is recognized as an address corresponding to fault data. Thus, the flag information of the storage device is managed without provision of an exclusive interface into to transmit/receive fault data between the storage controllers MCUs to guarantee the coincidence performance.
