Fire blocking fabric is woven from low flammability yarns, which may be blended yarns and at least some of which are constituted by knitted cords. These cords are preferably used as weft yarns in the weaving operation. The finished fabric may be given a raising treatment. The yarns may be a blend of pre-oxidised polyacrylonitrile, aramid and polyamide. |
