PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration or the breakdown of LEDs due to static electricity by a method wherein a fitting is composed of conductor and connected to the earth of a printed wiring board. CONSTITUTION:The lead leg 2a of an LED2 is inserted into a through-hole 4a of the printed wiring board 4, and the fitting leg 6a of an LED fitting 6 is inserted into a through-hole 4b of the board 4, which are thus connected to a required circuit with solder 5. Therefore, the fitting 6 and the LED2 are connected to the earth and a signal line, respectively. This construction enables static electriciy to be impressed on the main body 2b of the LED2 and to flow not through its lead leg 2a, but toward the LED fitting 6, resulting in flows from the fitting leg 6a to the earth; then, the LED2 is protected. Therefore, this device becomes equipped with the function as a fitting for positioning LEDs and the function of preventing troubles due to static electricity in combination. |
