PURPOSE:To produce high-quality tea leaves, by closing a fine rolling apparatus to form a fine rolling chamber, providing a circulatory heating circuit composed of a duct furnished with an exhaustion fan, a blower, a heater and a valve mechanism for sucking outer air, and reforming the tea leaves in evacuated state under heating. CONSTITUTION:A fine rolling apparatus is closed to form a fine rolling chamber 7, and is provided with a circulatory heating circuit composed of the duct 19 furnished with an exhaustion fan 22, a blower 17, a heater 18 and a valve mechanism 20 for sucking outer air. Tea leaves are heated in evacuated state, and are reformed while separating the moisture contained therein. Processed tea leaves having high quality can be produced by this procedure preventing the stuffing of the leaves and suppressing the heat-dissipation thereby decreasing the thermal loss. The water evaporated from the tea leaves by heating is accumulated in the circulating hot air, and the humidity is detected by the humidity regulator 26. When the humidity exceeds a prescribed level, the suction valve mechanism 20 is driven by a motor, etc. to automatically control the opening of the valve and suck the outer air having low humidity into the evacuated fine rolling chamber 7. The hot air having high humidity is exhausted from the system by the exhaustion fan 22.
