PURPOSE:To transmit automatically plural originals different in destination by adding an original with a code pattern corresponding to the telephone number of the destination and identifying this code pattern. CONSTITUTION:A memory part 17 is composed of memory addresses of from 1 to M. As memory contents 7 corresponding to the addresses 8, telephone numbers from 1' to M' of the customers of destination previously registered at an operating part 20 are stored. A modified manuscript identification part 16 reads out from the memory 17 the contents 7 corresponding to the address 8 to output the telephone number of the customer. An automatic calling part 18 transmits dialling pulses corresponding to the customer's telephone number outputted from the identification part 16 to call out the customer. If the customer is able to receive signals, a control part 19 instructs a picture signal processing part 12 to transmit communication control sequence signals necessary between the facsimile equipment of the customer of destination for signal transmission to the network through a modem part 14. Communication is started in this manner so that a picture part 3 of a manuscript 1 is transmitted.
