<p>PURPOSE:To grasp the life of a deodorizing filter and to prevent liberation of malodor by the use of the filter over its life by providing a life indicating agent to the suction side or exhaust side of a deodorizing filter. CONSTITUTION:Life indicating agent 8a and 8b comprising a specially treated 'Cryspal(R)' are attached to the suction side and the exhaust side of a deodorizing filter 4 contg. active carbon. Contaminated air is fed by a blower 2 from a suction port 6 to a dust collecting filter 5, deodorizing filter 4 and subjected to dust collection and deodorization, then discharged as purified air from a discharging port 7. When the deodorizing effect of active carbon 3 is deteriorate by a long time operation, the life indicating agent 8b at the discharge side is discolored by the reaction with NH3, H2S, etc. in the malodor component, and the color of the life indicator 8a at the suction side and 8b at the discharge side become almost equal at the time when the deodorizing effect is completely eliminated, informing that the deodorizing filter 4 must be exchanged.</p> |
