发明名称 FIBER FOR RESIN REINFORCEMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain fiber for resin reinforcement, having excellent adhesivity and dispersibility in the matrix resin and giving a composite material having high physical properties, by spinning an aromatic polyester exhibiting anisotropy in molten state and specifying the ratio of the circumferential length to the cross-sectional area of the obtained fiber. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic polyester exhibiting anisotropy in molten state and having a flow temperature of preferably 280-380 deg.C is spun at preferably 300-400 deg.C. The objective fiber can be produced by adjusting the ratio of the circumferential length to the cross-sectional area of the fiber to 3.2-10<-1>, the tensile strength of the fiber to preferably >=25g/d and initial modulus to >=800g/d. The polyester used in the above process is e.g. a copolyester composed of 40-70(mol)% p-hydroxybenzoic acid residue, 15-30% aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue and 15-30% aromatic diol residue, etc.
