PURPOSE:To obtain high quality easily even in a color receiver for which high display precision is required by providing correction signals to an amplitude modulator to control the amplitudes of at least two prime color signals to provide for uniform correction of coloring on the picture surface. CONSTITUTION:Light emission at a predetermined portion of the picture surface of a receiver tube 4 sensed by a photosensor 5 is AD converted and supplied to a CPU10. The correction signals providing for balanced emission of three colors R, G and B are generated and written into corresponding addresses of memories 17R-17B. In case the correction is performed, video signals to be displayed are supplied to input terminals 1R-1B and separated synchronizing signals are supplied to a timing generator 13. An MPX14 is switched to the side of the generator 13, the memories 17R-17B are ready for reading, and correction signals associated with respective portions on the picture surface are read out as a function of deflection of the video signals. These signals are supplied to DA converters 16R-16B and the converted analog compensation signals are supplied to an amplitude modulator (multiplication units 2R-2B) to make displayed colors uniform.
