<p>PURPOSE:To prepare oxygen having >=95% purity by allowing a gaseous mixture consisting primarily of O2 to contact with an adsorbent capable of adsorbing selectively O2, executing adsorption at high pressure, purge at intermediate pressure, and desorption at low pressure. CONSTITUTION:Feed gas contg. >=50% O2 is fed to an adsorption tower A packed with MSC adsorbent. The tower A is connected simultaneously with a tower C by a pipe 18 and the pressure of the both towers are equalized. On one hand, the pressure in the tower B is reduced by a vacuum pump 19, and gaseous O2 is discharged as final product. Then, purge gas is introduced into the tower C from outside to execute purge. In the next stage, feed gas is fed to the tower B, the pressure of the tower A and B are equalized, and the tower is evacuated. Finally, feed gas is fed to the tower C, the pressure of the tower B and C are equalized, and the tower A is evacuated. These procedures are repeated successively.</p> |
