New pharmaceutically active cpds. have formula (I), (R is NHR' or NR2; R' is 7 - 12C alkyl, 6 - 11C pyridylalkyl or 11 12C Ph-alkyl possibly mono- or disubstd. on the Ph with F, Cl, Br, 1 - 3C alkoxy or CF3; each R can independently be 1 - 12C alkyl or 7 - 12C Ph-alkyl opt. substd. on the Ph with F, Cl, Br, 1 - 3C alkyl or alkoxy or CF3; the 2R together with the N can form a pyrrolidone, piperidine, perhydro-1H-azepine or morpholine ring). (I) has an antisecretary action and can be used to prevent or treat gastric ulcers.
