PURPOSE:To obtain the high efficiency heat- and corrosion-resisting parts by constituting a fine wire by incorporating specific amounts of Nb to Ti. CONSTITUTION:The fine wire consisting of 30-60wt% Nb, <=5wt% Zr (except 0) if necessary, and the balance essentially Ti is constituted. This fine wire is capable of being worked to 20mu diameter. In this way, the fine wire suitably used for heat pipe wicks, vacuum furnace parts, chemically resistant filters, and the like, can be obtained.
