PURPOSE:To provide the additive for artificial hot spring bath and provide artificial hot spring effective to promote the hot spring bathing effect by synergistic effect of the components, by adding an alcohol as a blood-flow improving agent to one or more inorganic substances giving a carbonate spring, bicarbonate spring, alum spring, etc. CONSTITUTION:One or more inorganic substances giving a carbonate spring, alkaline earth metal bicarbonate spring, sodium bicarbonate spring, salt spring, alum spring, etc. are compounded with an alcoholic component (e.g. brewed liquor, distilled liquor, synthetic liquor, etc.). Preferably, sodium bicarbonate, alum, sulfate, etc. which is a cation-producing substance having bathing effect is compounded with the alcohol and water at ratios (alcohol:salt:water) of 1:1X10-<2>-5X10-<1>X10<3-5>. The peripheral vasodilating effect of alcohol is utilized effectively to promote the absorption of the ionic substance and the essential component in the alcoholic solution to the body and improve bathing effect.
