PURPOSE:A drug for preventing or remedying occurrence of jecur adiposum, gallstone, and gastric mucosal disorder which are apt to appear in person who takes willingly foods with high cholesterol, containing a muricholic acid and a specific cholic acid derivative as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The aimed preventive or remedy containing a cholic acid derivative (e.g., alpha-muricholic acid, etc.) shown by the formula I (X1 is group shown by the formula II, formula III, or C=O; X2 is group shown by the formula II, formula III, formula IV, or C=O; X3 is group shown by the formula II, formula III, formula IV, or C=O; X4 is group shown by the formula IV; R is H, or Na) as an active ingredient. EFFECT:A mouse raised with a stone-inducing diet (SID) has an increase in liver weight by cholesterol deposit, but a mouse raised with SID containing a cholic acid derivative such as chenodeoxy cholic acid (CDCA), hyocholic acid (HCA), ruodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), hyodeoxycholic acid (HCA). etc., is not found to have an increase in liver weight.
