PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in speed of a facsimile equipment together with miniaturization attained owing to a fact that a battery back-up memory does not need to store all picture data, by cutting off the calls after a print-out job is through with pictures. CONSTITUTION:In case a power supply 232 is cut off while a printer 228 is working, a flag showing a communication fault is set to a memory 206 for back-up. Then the power supply is cut off. When the power supply is recovered, the flag of the memory 206 is checked. If this flag is turned on, the information on the originator is read out at that time point to deliver a CR packet. Then the date information and the page information stored in the memory 206 are supplied to a picture converter 208 when the reception proceeds up to a CC packet. The picture data is produced and sent to a circuit controller 200 by a fault information signal 214. Then the picture data is transmitted through a circuit 230.
