PURPOSE:To improve adhesive properties with an epoxy resin for a casting by molding a housing and a coil bibbin by a specific synthetic resin composition mainly comprising a polyphenylene ether group resin. CONSTITUTION:Low voltage side coils 5 wound on synthetic resin bobbins 4 annularly arranged around a magnetic core 9 in succession and high voltage side coils 7 wound on synthetic resin bobbins 6 are incorporated into a housing 1 consisting of a synthetic resin, and air gaps among voltage conversion elements are filled and sealed with an epoxy resin 3. Said synthetic resin in such a transformer is composed of a resin composition material consisting of a 15-80wt% polyphenylene ether resin, a 15-80wt% polystyrene resin and/or rubber reinforced polystyrene resin and a 1-30wt% vinyl aromatic-alpha,beta- unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride copolymer. The mechanical, thermal and electrical various characteristics of a polyphenylene ether group resin composition and dimensional stability, etc. are maintained, and adhesive properties with the epoxy resin for a casting can be improved. |
