PURPOSE:To produce excellent driving feeling, by a method wherein the value of an ignition timing (MBT) at an allowable maximum torque is used as the value of a fundamental ignition timing, and correction is made on the value, control of lead angle is regulated in a region where driving feeling is worsened. CONSTITUTION:A map having a suction air pressure and the number of revolutions of an engine serving as parameter is prepared in a ROM 17 in an MPU 18 which controls an igniting device 21 according to the operating state of an engine, and an ignition time, serving as a base, i.e., the value of an MBT is written therein. Various corrections are made on the value of the fundamental ignition time to determine the value of a correction ignition time. During operation by means of the value of the MBT, a feeling map, having a suction air pressure and the number of revolutions of an engine serving as parameter, is prepared in relation to a feeling worsening region where a suction air pressure is below a given value. Ignition timing control is regulated according to the map, an ignition timing is lowered than an MBT curved line, and this prevents production of jolty opertion feeling. |
