CYLINDER HEAD FASTENING STRUCTURE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES

An internal combustion engine of the type in which two camshafts for the operation of intake and exhaust valves are disposed above a cylinder head is provided with access means (17, 18) for permitting a tool to be brought into engagement with a fastening bolt which is used to fixedly fasten a cylinder head (c) to an engine cylinder (b) and a crank case (a) respectively. In said camshafts (14) guide holes (17) are provided such that they are aligned with the longitudinal axes of each of the fastening bolts (3). A fastening tool may be inserted through said guide holes for further fastening the fastening bolts without removing of said camshafts.
