<p>PURPOSE:To improve the input efficiency by keeping automatically currently displayed data with the aid of an entry sheet presence or absence detecting signal from a detecting means on a tablet and then erasing the display on a display device so as to prepare a next input. CONSTITUTION:A detector composed of a light emitting element 1 and a photodetecting element 2, both of which are provided on the tablet 4, photo detects the presence or absence of the entry sheet S on the tablet 3, and outputs the entry sheet presence or absence signal 6. When the sheet S is set and a character is written inside of the frame on the sheet S with a write pen 5, coordinate data is produced, and transmitted to a CPU7 through a coordinate data signal line 8. The CPU7 converts said data into a stroke, and judges the character to store it in a display memory 10, after which the CPU7 displays the character pattern on the display device 11. Afterwards, when the signal 6 is again judged to find no sheet S, it is considered that the sheet S is ex changed, and the character code in the memory 10 is kept in a display data entry sheet data keeping memory 12. Then a character is written on a blank in the memory 12, and an operation prepares the next input.</p> |
