PURPOSE:To minimize the variance of the output voltage despite the large variance of the input voltage by absorbing the variance of the input voltage by the 1st Zener diode and applying it to the 2nd Zener diode. CONSTITUTION:The voltage of the 1st Zener diode 13 is set at a level higher than the voltage of the 2nd Zener diode 17. Under such conditions, a voltage variance factor K0 is set for the variance DELTAVI of the input voltage VI against the variance DELTAVO of the output voltage VO. Thus the factor K0 is equal to a function of the product of voltage variance factors K1 and K2 of both diodes 13 and 17. In this case, the factors K1 and K2 are extremely small compared with '1'. Thus the overall voltage variance factor K0 can be reduced by an amount equal to a digit or more in comparison with the voltage variance factor produced with just a single Zener diode. |
