<p>PT--81198 A Pyrido-imidazo-rifamicines of formula (I) are made by reacting one molar equiv. of rifamicine B of formula (II) with 1-9 equivs. of an amino-pyridine of formula (III) and with 1-4 equivs. of a suitable oxidising agent, in presence of one or more solvents at between ambient temp. and b.pt. for 10-100 h. - The reaction mixt. is opt. treated with a suitable reducing agent.</p> |
