PURPOSE:To carry out quite easily process such as change of contents of the PLU table by executing continual processing in update request processing mode by processing such inquiry request whenever there is spare time even during processing of update request processing mode. CONSTITUTION:As the PLU table 102 has been installed on the controller 100 side, the amount of processing in the terminal device 1 is increased. For example, by installing the No.1 microcomputer for executing the main program which is the original function of the POS terminal and the No.2 microcomputer for executing the I/O control subprogramming including communication with the controller, the microcomputer is being arranged, so to speak, multiplely. The No.1 and No.2 microcomputer, 20, 30 are connected via the interface circuit 40 and the direct memory access controller 24, 34 respectively, have access to the micro computer, at least to the RAM22 and 32. |
