<p>A device for coating planar workpieces with materials which are capable of flowing has an application roller and a counter-roller, between which the workpiece is pushed through, and a metering roller. The adjustment of the contact pressure, and thus the metering of the material, between application roller and metering roller takes place by means of two threaded spindles, in each case a hydraulic cylinder being arranged between the end side of the threaded spindles and the bearing of the metering roller coaxially with respect to the threaded spindle, and the fluid spaces of the two hydraulic cylinders being connected to one another. In this way it is ensured that, even with imprecise adjustment of the threaded spindles, a uniform application of force on the two bearings of the metering roller and thus also a satisfactory application of the coating material can be achieved.</p> |
