<p>The housing (4) of the computer (1) has a swiveling cap (18) hinged (19) from it and facilitates viewing of the screen (7) in bright light by shading the top of the screen. The support (2) for the housing includes a base plate which, in use, is bolted to a floor plate of e.g. a car or agricultural tractor. A reinforcing plate is clamped against the floor plate together with the base plate. A cylindrical tube (31) extends upwards from an aperture in the base plate. The tube encloses a cylindrical pipe (32) which acts to centre and brace a further pipe (33). A boss (34) prevents the further pipe from turning relative to the tube. Rotation of pipes (33,36) allows the housing height to be varied. A peg-shaped prop, 45, of quadratic cross-section, is disposed on a collar (44) and is of dimensions to fit in a recess (23,24) of the computer housing. The computer is moved sideways by choice of one or other recess to fit over the prop.</p> |
