PURPOSE:To execute plural functions with one device and to make compact by installing a head module having a memory device, a print head and a sensor head, and providing with a compound terminal equipment controlled by a central processing unit and a communicating device which is controlled by the central processing unit and communicates with an external line. CONSTITUTION:When the device functions as a computer or a word processor, a program for a computer or a program for a word processor is stored, and the compound terminal equipment is used as a printer. When the device functions as a facsimile, the picture received from an external line by the communicating device is recorded on the paper by using a printer head 32 of a compound terminal equipment, the picture on the paper read by using a sensor head 33 from the compound terminal equipment is transmitted to the external circuit by the communicating device. The print head 32 can punch an (n) number of dots on one column and the sensor head 3 is composed of a CCD image sensor of an (n) number of picture elements corresponding to the print head 32.
