PURPOSE:To certainly drive each mechanism by one drive motor, by supplying chopped voltage to the drive motor for driving both of a printing drive mechanism and a feed mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A chopping means 143 is connected to CPU40. When a paper feed signal is inputted to CPU140 by predetermined key operation, CPU140 supplies chopped voltage to a drive motor 81 and applies operational control to a paper feed electromagnet 93. By this mechanism, the speed of the motor 81 can be transmitted to a feed mechanism in a decelerated state. At the time of the driving of a printing drive mechanism, the aforementioned voltage is supplied to the motor 81 without chopping the same and the large driving force thereof can be utilized as it is. It is unnecessary to respectively provide drive motors corresponding to the printing drive mechanism and the feed mechanism and both mechanisms can be driven by one drive motor 81.
