PURPOSE:To make the whole of the equipment thin and compact remarkably by a method wherein one series of heat exchangers of fin plate type is arranged in a scroll chamber around a vane wheel and a delivery port in a condition that the heat exchanging areas of the heat exchangers are distributed properly. CONSTITUTION:The centrifugal fan 3 is provided with a fan casing 6 and a multi-blade vane wheel 2 is mounted in the scroll chamber 1 through a shaft. The heat medium (refrigerant) pipe 5B of the heat exchanger is equipped with a multiple sheets of fin plates 5A and is arranged in the scroll chamber 1 around the vane wheel 2 and the delivery port 4 so that the heat exchanging areas thereof are distributed so as to be small at the scroll beginning end and maximum at the delivery port 4. Air, induced by the rotation of the vane wheel of centrifugal fan, receives a centrifugal effect and flows energitically in the scroll chamber, thereafter, is blown out of the delivery port, however, the flowing air deprives heat from the fin plates in this case and the air may be heated or cooled.
