PURPOSE:To reduce leak magnetic flux at a winding part and to perform high- efficiency recording and reproduction by constituting a closed magnetic structure, arranging a thin-film coil nearby a main magnetic pole, and forming a cut groove charged with a nonmagnetic material under the thin-film coil. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic flux generated by flowing a recording current to the thin-film coil 12 during recording is converged on the main magnetic pole 16 from the 1st ferromagnetic thin film 11 to magnetize the vertical magnetism film 5 of a medium and flows in the outside of the groove of the 1st substrate 9 through a soft magnetic layer 6, and is fed back to the center path, forming a closed magnetic path. At this time, the groove charged with the nonmagnetic material 9 is positioned under the spiral coil closed magnetic path, so magnetic flux produced by the coil 12 improves the recording efficiency greatly without being shorted by the substrate 9. The magnetic pole 1, on the other hand, is magnetized by magnetism recorded in the vertical magnetism film 5 during reproduction and its magnetic flux circulates in the closed magnetic path as well as in recording and is detected by the thin-film coil 12. The reproduction efficiency is improved greatly as well because of the presence of the groove charged with the nonmagnetic body 10. |
