PURPOSE:To produce a decorative laminate which has the appearance stuck with thick veneer piece and is easy in the execution by butting and sticking the thick veneer piece wherein the peripheral parts are chamfered on a top surface of a substrate so that a required pattern is formed to make the decorative laminate and performing suitably a colored paint or the like on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A thick veneer 4 piece wherein the peripheral parts are chamfered is butted and stuck on a top surface of a substrate 1 via an adhesive 2 so that a required pattern is formed to make a decorative laminate. A colored paint is primed on the surface of the decorative laminate and thereafter the colored paint of a flat part is scraped away so that the colored paint is allowed to remain in the grooves 5 formed by the butted parts of the thick veneer 4 and in the conduit groove of a sliced sheet and finally a transparent paint is top-coated on the surface of the decorative laminate. As a result, the decorative laminate enriched in such the stereoignostic feeling that a natural veneer piece is stuck on a pattern one sheet by one sheet can be produced inexpensively and the execution can be easily performed because the thick veneer is stuck on a large base sheet. The more stereoignostic feeling can be given on the decorative laminate since the recessed parts of the grooves are finished more thickly than the flat parts.
