<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate clogging, to prevent an increase in the pressure drop and deterioration of treated water, and to operate continuously by automatically backwashing carriers during the waste water treatment in the title fixed-bed type water treating apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A fixed bed 19 is formed by carrier grains, an outflow port 2 of treated water and a gas discharge port 4 are provided at the upper part, and an untreated water supply means 5 is furnished at the lower part of a treating vessel 1. A head pipe 7 wherein waste gas is introduced is vertically furnished with the lower end opened above the vessel bottom, and a storage tank 12 connecting with an opening of the head pipe 7 at its upper end is provided. A discharge port 13 for discharging backwashed carrier grains flowing into the storage tank 12 is furnished at the lower part of the storage tank 12, and a means 17 for discharging sewage, etc., to the outside of the treating vessel 1 is provided at the upper part of the storage tank 12. Consequently, automatic backwashing of carriers during the waste water treatment is made possible, clogging is not caused, an increase in the pressure drop and the deterioration of treated water are prevented and operation can be carried out continuously.</p> |
