PURPOSE:To manufacture the film provided with embossed pattern having three-dimensional feeling efficiently by a method wherein the surface roughness of a cooling roll is made so as to have 100-700mum and an elastic roll, having surface hardness of 25-50 deg., neighbors thereon. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the cooling roll is formed so as to have recesses and protrusions so that the surface roughness of the roll becomes 100-700mum and the elastic roll having the surface hardness of 25-50 deg. is neighbored at a position capable of pressing a molten film from the front and rear sides thereof. When contact between said molten film and the cooling roll is started or immediately before starting the contact, the molten film is pressed and cooled to solidify it simultaneously with embossing. The pressing force of the molten film against the cooling roll, which is generated by the elastic roll, is preferably 10-60kg/cm in the normal application. When the force is up to 10kg/cm, the embossed patterns having sufficient depth can not be obtained but the thickness of the embossed film becomes too thin locally when the force exceeds 60kg/cm and the mechanical strength thereof may be reduced readily. |
