PURPOSE:To detect whether or not output data are normal, before output data are sent to an output device of a display device or a printing device, etc., by providing an automatic diagnosis function composed of plural output control parts and a collating part, etc. CONSTITUTION:When an input control part 2 receives an input signal from a host computer 1, the part 2 sends respectively the signal to the first output control part 3 and the second output control part 4 together with the control data necessary to print. Input data are developed at a pattern based upon the control data in control parts 3 and 4, and actually, the bit map corresponding to a pattern to be printed is formed on the built-in memory. These two bit maps are compared in a collating part 5, and it is investigated whether or not both maps are coincident. As the result, when the dissidence is found, immediately, a printing action is stopped and the warning is sent. Thus, prior to executing the printing, the diagnosis of output data can be executed and the reliability of the output device can be improved. |
