Measuring system for rotary rheometers

The invention relates to a measuring system for rotary rheometers which are used in the laboratory and in process monitoring and are employed for characterizing both newtonian and non-newtonian substances. The objective is to increase the performance range of the rheometer without significantly increasing the expenditure, specifically by extending the continuously measurable effective range. To this end, and to form a measuring gap, at least one of the faces used for forming the gap is designed like a web [lacuna] a further face, said faces being parallel to one another at all times and being mobile with respect to one another. One of the faces is located on the rotor of the rheometer, the other is located on a supporting plate. The rotor and the supporting plate are arranged on a common imaginary longitudinal axis so as to be mobile with respect to one another.
