PURPOSE:To simplify both-side copying work by omitting resetting of an original even when jamming occurs at the time of both-side copying by providing an original shunting path on a side that does not face an original platen and carrying the original selectively by switching shunting gates. CONSTITUTION:A copied surface original 21 is held by a discharging roller 12. When jamming occurred during copying of a back original 22, this is removed and both-side copying of remaining paper is completed. Then, a belt 6 is reversed to lead the original to a shunting path 9 via a shunting gate 11. Then, a discharging roller 12 is rotated reversely, and surface copying for deficient numbers of sheets is performed, and the original 22 is led from the shunting path 9 to make back-side copying. As the shunting path 9 of the original is provided on the side that does not face the original platen, the size of the device does not become large, and both-side copying work after occurrence of jamming can be simplified. |
