<p>PURPOSE:To apply the prescribed tension to a magnetic tape and to obtain satisfactory still pictures by increasing the winding angle to a fixed tape guide of the tape in a still picture reproduction mode. CONSTITUTION:In a still picture reproduction mode a slider 43 slides toward an arrow head K and an arm 40 is turned counterclockwise. Then an impedance roller 15 and a full-width erasion head 14 are separated from a magnetic tape 6, and the winding angle of the tape 6 is increased to a fixed tape guide 42. Thus the driving resistance is increased immediately before the guide 42 is stopped and the tape tension is increased at the exist of the guide 42. Then the tape tension is increased at the entrance of a rotary cylinder 18 compared with that of a record/reproduction mode. The revolution of a capstan motor is stopped while the tape 6 is pressed to a capstan by a pinch roller. Then the take-up side of the tape 6 is fixed and the tape 6 is held with the prescribed tension.</p> |
