PURPOSE:To automate a tire transfer device by furnishing a liquid cylinder to roll a tire held with tire holding bars between a holding pole and a sliding arm, to the tire rack unit side, and arranging a guide plate at the holding plate to guide the tire. CONSTITUTION:The tire holding bars 9 and 12, and the guide plate 19 are rotated clockwise around the shaft 14 by a contraction force of No.1 liquid cylinder 13, and a tire W is moved to the position W1. In this case, since a portion of the tire W1 comes already within the holding frame of the tire rack unit 1, plural pieces of tires W1 can be transferred by their own weights, in the condition held by the holding bar 20. The the action of the cylinder 16 is released, and the holding power on both side of the tire W by the guide plate 19 is released. After that, the holding bars 9 and 12, and the guide plate 19, which hold the tire W, are rolled again by a contraction of No.2 liquid cylinder 14, to squeeze the tire W2 further in the tire rack unit 1.
