摘要

The adherence of non-pathogenic bacteria to the gastrointestinal tract in animals and humans is promoted by administering the bacteria in the presence of a protein which is designated an adherence-promoting protein and which can be prepared by culturing lactic acid bacteria in a medium while adding sugar species at elevated concentrations. A preparation for promoting this adherence comprises non-pathogenic bacteria which are cultured in the abovementioned manner, together with the adherence-promoting protein.
