<p>PURPOSE:To execute a pretreatment for the purpose of electroless plating without spoiling the properties intrinsic to fibers by padding a fiber material into a complex forming soln. added with a binder and acidic catalyst, drying the material and subjecting the dried material to a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:The aq. soln. consisting of a noble metal salt and complexing agent is stirred to form the numerous protective colloidal complexes enclosing metallic ions. The binder and acidic catalyst are added thereto after cooling. The fiber material made of polyester, etc. is padded into the soln. mixture to stick the binder contg. the complexes over the entire surface of the fiber material. The deposition of the noble metal is preferably made 0.0001-1g/m<2>. The material is then dried after squeezing with a mangle, etc. and is heat- treated for about 10sec-1min at about 160-200 deg.C to form the uniform film contg. the complexes over the entire part of the fiber material. Such fiber material is dipped into an aq. soln. consisting of a reducing agent and pH adjusting agent to reduce the noble metal ions fixed to the fiber surface by which the power as the catalyst for an electroless plating treatment is provided to the fiber material.</p> |
