PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as a medicinal drug having hypotensive activity and antitumor activity, easily in high yield, in one step, without forming a trialkoxy compound as an intermediate, by reacting an organic germanium compound with an amino compound. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula II having atrane skeleton can be produced by the reacting an organic compound of formula I (R1-R3 are H, lower alkyl such as methyl, ethyl, etc., or phenyl; Y is amino or O-lower alkyl; X is halogen) with the amino compound of formula N(CH2-CH2OM)3 (M is alkali metal such as Na, K, etc.) or with a composition producing said amino compound, in a solvent such as dimethylformamide, optionally under refluxing, and post-treating the reaction product by conventional method.
