PURPOSE:To omit the arithmetic of data at fluoroscopic conversion and to shorten the executing time for division by obtaining the arithmetic result of n-bits available from removing an n/2 bit at the high order side and that at the low order side. CONSTITUTION:Respective absolute values values of a value of n-bits to be divided and a divisor of n-bits are calculated 232, and a negative code is added 234 to either of them. Then the aboslute value of the value to be divided is shifted 235 by the prescribed number of bits and added 234 to the divisor, thereby discriminating the remainder code of the added result. On the basis of the discriminated result a quotient is decided 238, and simultaneously the decision is made 239 whether the remainder of the added output is made the next value to be divided or the shifted value to be divided previous time is made the next value to be divided. A series of actions are repeated n-times, whereby the arithmetic result of n-bits can be obtained. |
