PURPOSE:To increase the posture stability performance of a vehicle by automatically varying the characteristics of a torsion bar for stabilizar in response to the running conditions of the vehicle, in the titled device the respective spring lower members of left and right wheels in which are connected together, the stabilizer. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle in which the respective spring lower members 14 and 16 of left and right wheels 10 and 12 are connected together a stabilizer 18, a connection member 22 that can adjust the connection distance between abovementioned unit 18 and aftermentioned section 20 is provided between at least one spring lower member 16 and a section 20 that receives and the repulsive force of stabilizer 18. This connection member 22 is comprised as a hydraulic driving type piston cylinder and the supply and exhaust of pressurized oil to and from a cylinder chamber is controlled by an actuating means 24. Besides, the actuating means 24 is controlled by an electric control signal Sc coming from an arithmetic means C that computes the control rate corresponding to roll of the vehicle based on the output of a speed signal generation means A and a steering signal generation means B. |
