PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a sheet pile, by a method wherein a sheet pile body comprises 2 half parts of a right and a left half part, an engaging part is formed on each half part, and the two half parts are laterally and vertically slidably and liquidtightly engaged with each other at the two engaging parts. CONSTITUTION:A sheet pile body 1 made of steel comprises two half parts 2 of a right and a left half part, and an engaging part 3 is vertically formed on each half part 2. A sheet pile is driven until right before a lowermost temporary locking material 14 enters a ground 17, and after the temporary locking material 14 is removed, the sheet pile is further driven until right before the temporary material 14 located above and adjacent to the lowermost sheet pile enters the ground 17. The half part 2 of the sheet pile body 1 having a bottom plate 11 is further driven, and an engaging projection 12 of the bottom plate 11 is disengaged toward a position below an engaging hole 13 of a side plate 6 of the half part 2 having no bottom plate 11 to release the engaging projection 12 from engagement with the engaging hole 13. Thereafter, a space 8 formed with two forms 4 of the two half parts 2 is filled with a fluid sealing material 9. |
