PURPOSE:To prevent to discharge a carbon monoxide by a method wherein an air chamber, which is capable of supplying air into exhaust gas, is provided at a down stream side of a outer cylinder covering a combustion unit, in which the whole primary combustion is conducted, and for the air chamber an air pipe to feed combustion air from a combustion fan is connected. CONSTITUTION:A combustion air to a burner head 10 become total sum of the amount of air supplied as the gas mixture from a mixing chamber 4 and also the amount of air supplied from the clearance gap 56 of a air chamber 52, however, in case where amount of air blast become lower due to clogging of dirt contaminant or the like, and its actual amount value comes to below the amount of theoretical combustion air for the fuel, then, the burner head 10 become air shortage combustion, thereby the content of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas is rapidly increased. However, on the way to an exhaust port 16, which is an exhaust gas passage 11 to which air is supplied from the opening provided on the side wall 50 of the air chamber 52, therefore, carbon monoxide gas in the exhaust gas is oxidized by oxygen in the supplied air, it is turned out a nonpoisonous carbon dioxide gas. Accordingly, discharge of poisonous carbon monoxide gas from the exhaust port 16 is prevented.
