The invention relates to a measure for measuring fish, comprising several elements sliding in one another in order to reduce the overall bulk thereof. The arrangement of the slide pieces enables each deployed element to abut, thus defining a specific length between the stops and the graduations. The shape of the measure may be rectangular, oval, cylindrical, etc. A notch is made on the stop of the measure permitting, when a fish is being measured, passage of the fishing line in order to keep the snout of the fish in contact with the stop. A hole is made in the stop to enable the fisherman to attach his measure. <IMAGE>
