PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation out of the preset concn. range due to the lag of control by controlling so as to elevate the degree of electric charge preliminarily in a period of the quick change in the operating state of a boiler such as a period of elevation of the boiler load. CONSTITUTION:The soot and dust concn. of exhaust gas which is sampled with a sampling tube 8 is measured by a soot and dust densitometer 7 and changed to a soot and dust concn. signal 9 and it is inputted to a less energy consumption controller 5 via a receiving part 6. In a starting period of the elevation of boiler load or a starting period of the soot blow, when the signal is supplied to the controller 5 from a control board 11 of the boiler operation, the computing treatment is interrupted in the controller 5 and a signal 10 regulating to a preliminarily preset degree rc of electric charge is sent to a power back control board 3 and the degree of electric charge of a power back 2 is elevated to a preliminarily preset value. By such method, the dust collector is operated in less energy consumption without deviating largely from the upper limit of the preset concn. range due to the lag in control.
