Tap head in which the flap 8 is mechanically independent of the movable members of the tap, its movement in the closure direction being provided by water pressure. The lifting of the flap 8 is provided by a push rod 9 whose axial movement is determined by a conventional rotary knob 10, with interposition of a device for transforming the movement allowing the effects of actions on the said knob 10 to be reduced in amplitude. <IMAGE>
