PURPOSE:To facilitate the control of scavenging gas stream to enhance the the scavenging of a two-cycle engine, by retracting partion walls between scavenging holes for forming scavenging stream for hindering scavenging stream direction to the exhaust port of a two-cycle engine, slightly from the slide surface of an engine cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Scavenging holes 4, 5 are arranged symmetrical with the center line connecting between an intake port 10 and an exhaust port 2, the scavenging hole 4 near to the exhaust port 2 being arrange in the direction in which scanvenging gas is hindered from blowing through the exhaust port 2. Therefore, the front edges of partition walls 6 through 8 between scavenging holes 4, 5 are retracted slightly from the slide surface of a cylinder 11 for a piston. As the manner of retraction, the one 7 which is uniformly retracted and the one 8 which is retracted in its upper section alone are there. This retracted parts allow scavenging stream from the scavenging hole 4 to strongly change the direction of scavenging stream from the scavenging hole 5, and the scavenging port area may be substantially increase to enhance the scavenging efficiency of the engine. |
