PURPOSE:To dissolve an uneasy sense without giving a no-sound sense of the time of holding to the other party by providing a selecting switch for making a loss of a receiving system larger by a value determined in advance than a loss of a transmitting system. CONSTITUTION:In a call state, when a receiving sound volume variable attenuator 26 is set so that a sound volume sounded from a loudspeaker 4 becomes maximum, an attenuation quantity of a transmitting variable gain amplifier in a holding state becomes large, no sound is generated from a receiver of a telephone device of the other party, and the other party feels an uneasy sense. At the time of such a state, when a switch 29 is switched, a voltage which has been divided by resistances 27, 28 is supplied to a terminal X, therefore, the attenuation quantity of the amplifier 5 becomes a prescribed quantity, and a peripheral sound and a noise of a level of some degree are supplied to the receiver of the other party. Accordingly, an uneasy sense in a holding state of the other party can be dissolved.
