PURPOSE:To reduce the communication cost of an electric image transmission system by transmitting plural pieces of image information which differ in transmission time in combination within a unit time of charging or its integral multiple. CONSTITUTION:Image information (a) of an original 1 read by a read part 2 is sent from an input control part 4 to a compression part 5 to obtain compressed information A, which is stored in a memory 6. At this time, time data t1 inputted from an operation part 3 by an operator is stored in the memory 6 by the input control part 4 together with time data T1. Thus, pieces transmit information Q1, Q2, Q3... are stored in the memory 6 successively. A processing part 12 refers to the contents of a timer counter 13 and the Q1 is read out of the memory 6 at time t1 and send out to a circuit 11 through a control part 8 and a modem 9, but the transmission time is within the unit time of charging, another piece of transmit information Q which can be transmitted within the remaining time is searched for and sent.
