MAGNETIC HEAD AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To prevent the effect from exerting on the magnetic characteristics of a magnetic head by shifting a frame toward the butting direction of core halves so as to keep a proper gap of a primary core and also to use a nonmagnetic material to said frame. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped frame 3 is tapered and its tip 3a abuts a bank 2. The 1st reinforcement core 4 is inserted into the core 3 and then a pair of core halves 5a and 5b made of a flat plate type amorphous material are fitted into the frame 3 up to the middle position. Then the 2nd reinforcement core 6 is fitted on these core halves 5a and 5b. under such conditions, the pressing force F2 is applied to the halves 5a and 5b from the back side together with application of the vertical pressure F1. Then these halves are pushed into the frame 3. Thus both halves 5a and 5b are butted with each other for production of a primary core 5. The tapers 9a and 9b have a smaller space between them toward their tips. Then an organic or inorganic adhesive is applied to bond the frame 3, halves 5a and 5b and the 1st and 2nd cores 4 and 6 respectively.
