PURPOSE:To execute display and control when a metallic piece is preliminarily detected and to eliminate the adverse influence on parts by providing a detector which monitors the presence or absence of the metallic piece at all times in an insertion and removal part for insertion and removal of a unit part and executes the necessary display and control when conduction of electricity arises. CONSTITUTION:A frictional sepn. system is generally executed by the pressure of a paper feed roller 4 and a pad 7. The roller, etc. are flawed when a metallic material such as clip enters the same and therefore a detecting electrode 13 is provided. A short circuit is inputted to a sequence controller 17 and the necessary display and control are executed when the electrode 13 is short- circuited by the metal such as clip. The electrode 13 is provided under a developing device or in a cleaner part or conveying part in some embodiments by which the deterioration in the function and damage, etc. of the respective unit parts are prevented. |
